Due to  Adi Sucipto Airport in Yogykarta closed down following the latest eruptions of Merapi, Garuda Indonesia has cancelled its flights to and from Yogyakarta until 9 November, 2010.

Garuda Indonesia normally runs eight flights from Jakarta to Yogyakarta, and two flights from Denpasar to Yogyakarta, daily.

Regarding this temporary suspension, passengers who have postponed their travels to Yogyakarta are urged to re-book their flights, and for those who want to refund their tickets there will not be any surcharge as in normal situations.

With traffic  conditions between Yogyakarta and Solo still uncertain, flights to Yogyakarta from Jakarta  will not be diverted to Solo such as in previous occasions.

Meanwhile, since not any "Notam" (notice to airman) - officially declared that  Soekarno-Hatta has been affected by Merapi's volcanic ashes or closed down - Garuda Indonesia will continue its services for domestic and international flights to and from Soekarno-Hatta airport.
